2009-2010 Chapter Officers
Chairman - Bob Merryfield
Bob has over 35 years experience in the production of Iron and Nickel base Stainless Steel Castings. He has worked in various positions with St. Louis Steel castings, Stainless Foundry and Engineering, LaBour Pump company and Ancast, Inc. Bob served as a member of Steel Founders Society of America (SFSA) High Alloy Steering Committee. Also, he is Past Chairman of the Michiana AFS chapter. Bob holds a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri, Rolla, in Metallurgical Engineering. Bob is a Life Member of ASM. He was elected to the Notre Dame Board in 2006 for a three-year term.

Treasurer/Webmaster - Josh Haines
Josh graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering. He worked as an intern at Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN performing work related to heat treatment, brazing, and NUCAP preparation. Josh is currently employed as a failure analyst at the Materials Technology Center at Honeywell Aerospace.
He owns a small computer repair & web design business on the side and is working toward a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University with an expected graduation date of December, 2011.
Secretary - Tim Conrad
Tim is currently a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame studying Bioengineering with a specialization in biomaterials. Time earned a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University in 2005. After graduating he worked at TP Orthodontics in LaPorte, IN as a R&D Materials Engineer researching new products for the orthodontic field. He entered graduate school full time at the University of Notre Dame in the fall of 2007. His current research interests are in creating materials that interact more favorably with the human body to promote faster healing or integration of medical implants. Tim has been a member of ASM since 2005 and currently lives at Notre Dame.
