Dave is employed at LECO Corporation (St. Joseph, MI) as Corporate Metallurgist in the Metallographic Applications Laboratory.

Dave earned a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1975. He began his professional career at Westinghouse’s Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. In 1977 he moved to Niles, Michigan and began a 28 year stint at National-Standard Company, a manufacturer of wire and wire products. While at National-Standard, Dave held positions in research and development, process engineering, quality assurance, sales, purchasing and plant management.

Dave lives in Niles with his wife, Susan, and their two teenage children, Elizabeth and Stuart.

Randy is employed at Honeywell South Bend as a Principal Engineer in the Materials Technology Center. Randy started his career with Honeywell, formerly Allied-Signal, formerly Garrett in 1985 in Phoenix, AZ after a two plus year stint with the Civil Service at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. He is currently responsible for the analysis of all field returned hardware for the Wheels and Brakes Division as well as the Fuel Control Division. Randy also evaluates new materials and processes for their applicability on next generation hardware for both divisions.

Randy earned a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Iowa State University in 1982. He and his wife, Julie, live in Granger, Indiana with their daughter, Hillary, and son, Logan. The family is active in many sports especially Track and Field as Randy is an assistant coach for the John Adams High School Boys and Girls Track Teams. Randy has been an ASM member since 1979 and has been a member of the Notre Dame Chapter since 1995. He was formerly Chairman of the Phoenix Chapter of ASM.

Rick is Technical Service Metallurgist at Gerdau Ameristeel. He has over 30 years experience in the steel and wire industries. He previously worked with the National Standard Company in Niles, MI managing groups working in the areas of R&D, Quality, and Process Technology for carbon steel and stainless steel wire products. In addition, Rick worked for Baoan International Investment Co., Ltd, a Chinese trading company in Covina, CA and the US Steel Corporation in Chicago, IL; Waukegan, IL; and Monroeville, PA.

 

Rick is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with a B.S. and Masters in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Rick has served on the board from 1998 – 2000 and 2004 to date. He is also a member of TMS, ASTM and the Wire Association International. Rick and his family live in Granger, Indiana.

Josh graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering.  His senior design project related to the development and modeling/simulation of a three dimensional aerospace braze joint, the associated filler material, and the diffusion effects of the process.  He worked as an intern at Rolls-Royce doing work related to heat treatment, brazing, and NUCAP preparation.  Josh is currently employed as a failure analyst at the Materials Technology Center at Honeywell ALS. 

He recently married his high school sweetheart of 7 years who is currently attending Purdue University for financial counseling and planning.
